About the role...

Join Duolingo's Localization team within Scaling Operations to turn complex, high-volume localization work into durable, low-touch systems that scale across our 30+ UI languages. You'll own the end-to-end programs that bring promising product ideas into long-term, scalable operations, improving launch speed, quality, and efficiency. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and language partners, you will help build the systems that keep localization in lockstep with Duolingo's growth.

  You will...

  • Drive automation and system improvements to scale from 0-to-1 and beyond, leveraging technology to make localized content production simpler, more repeatable, and more transparent 
  • Own the metrics for your vertical to improve strategy, decision-making, and prioritization
  • Cultivate relationships with key partners (marketing, product, design, engineering) to develop a localization strategy and roadmap for your area; develop and socialize best practices and ways of working
  • Establish workflows and tooling that increase localization throughput and quality across our system.

  You have...

  • Demonstrated experience crafting localization strategy and systems for new features and experiences, in collaboration with product, design, and engineering partners
  • A track record of building and leading localization programs in a cross-functional consumer app environment
  • Tech-savviness. You are proficient in managing and scaling workloads using technology, including AI, CMSs, and CAT tools
  • Excellent communication skills; you influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders to drive decisions
  • Comfort defining goals and metrics and translating insights into actionable engineering requirements and scalable workflow specifications
