Job description

Summary: As a Localization Industrial Engineer, you will be at the forefront of optimizing localization processes for new parts, tools, and machines within a global context to meet future growth targets. Your role will focus on leveraging industrial engineering principles and methodologies to enhance the efficiency, quality, and scalability of localization operations content, and other products across diverse linguistic and cultural markets.


Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person with our without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:

  • Key department KPIs this role will support and influence in a positive direction: Finished goods localization timing and component localization.
  • Develop and improve new and existing production processes and methods for increasing output and efficiency, as well as reducing costs and preventing defects. Work to increase process stability to meet customer demand with minimum amount of resources.


Localization

  • Manage new part implementation process for the production lines.
  • Customize and configure localization feasibility tools and platforms to meet project needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to localization teams and developers.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve current localization workflows and processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Make recommendations regarding capital tooling and equipment. This may include externally purchased capital equipment, internally produced capital equipment, and inter-plant equipment transfers.


Sourcing Support

  • Develop A3 summaries and lend technical expertise to the Sourcing Group to review new parts to get it localized for production.
  • Support localization priorities with technical support


SCM Support

  • Collaborate with localization teams to understand project requirements and define localization strategies.
  • Handle supply chain reporting for key metrics, including purchasing.
  • Fill out capital requests forms for sourcing, localization and the SCM Team.
  • Support supplier capacity projects as needed
  • Support supplier crisis projects as needed
  • Use of the following software programs when performing duties of this position: SAP, CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.



Recommended Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Management, or Business Related field.
  • Proven experience in industrial engineering, process optimization, or operations management, preferably in a localization or global content management environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and process improvement.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across different functional areas and geographic locations.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies in a dynamic and evolving field.
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles (preferred)
