The Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior SaaS Platform Architect to shape the future of our cloud-based platform. You will play a pivotal role in designing and guiding the development of scalable, resilient, and secure software systems that power our AI-driven translation solutions. As a senior architect, you will work closely with product leaders, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that technical decisions align with the companyโ€™s strategic vision and deliver lasting value.
This role requires a rare mix of deep technical expertise, architectural vision, and the ability to influence and mentor teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Architect Scalable Platforms โ€“ Design and evolve SaaS and cloud solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Advance the Architecture Roadmap โ€“ Partner with engineering, GenAI, and DevOps teams to define and evolve the long-term technical architecture of Apertera's SaaS offerings.
  • Documentation & Standards โ€“ Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, integration diagrams, and technical guidelines; ensure accessibility and currency of all documentation.
  • Innovation & Prototyping โ€“ Challenge the status quo by exploring new technologies, creating proofs of concept, and rapidly prototyping solutions to meet emerging business needs.
  • Technical Leadership โ€“ Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering teams, raising code quality, design maturity, and product performance.
  • Full Lifecycle Architecture โ€“ Design solutions for new features while ensuring maintainability of existing code bases, with a focus on best practices and long-term sustainability.
  • Agile Collaboration โ€“ Work closely with Scrum teams and product owners to translate architectural direction into actionable development plans.
  • Cross-Functional Communication โ€“ Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders,ย articulating architectural decisions in clear, business-relevant terms.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in Computer Science (or related field).
  • 10+ years of software development experience building web-based products at scale.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, AI Model Infra, and deployment, ideally on AWS.
  • Strong expertise in Pythonย and front-end frameworks such as React.
  • Proven track record of architecting complex SaaS platforms with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Experience and knowledge of SaaS compliance standards, including SOC2, GDPR, and ISO270001
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; able to balance strategic vision with pragmatic execution.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues across regions.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the translation, localization, or language technology industry.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Prompt tuning, RAG frameworks, Embedding models, LLM APIs, Vector database
  • Familiarity with compliance and security requirements in legal/financial SaaS environments.
