Role Expectations

  • To provide safe and efficient delivery of Fellowes products, supplies, and back-hauls in a timely manner to various local destinations
  • This includes assisting in unloading, verification of quantities as well as noting and reporting shortages or damage
  • Driver is responsible for the operation or Fellowes owned or leased equipment, as well as the pickup and delivery of Fellowes products as well as loads hauled in a for hire capacity
  • The driver is expected to work professionally and productively with the Fleet Supervisor and adapt to unforeseen circumstances that may change planned processes and/or routes
  • Driver must be willing to adapt

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Completion of required documentation, driver logs, PODs and safety sheets
  • Maintain professional appearance of tractor with a minimum of weekly wash and wax twice yearly
  • Occasionally assist unloading of product, verification of piece count, overages, shortages or damage
  • Occasionally assist loading of supplies from vendors
  • Pickup/deliver revenue generating back hauls
  • Assist in local shuttles, pickups and deliveries as needed
  • Represent Fellowes in a professional manner
  • Driver will interact with Fellowes personnel, vendors and Fellowes customers must be extremely polite and professional

 

What You Bring to the Team

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to perform all essential duties
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions and technical information
  • Knowledge and adherence to safety issues and policies
  • Three years of Class A driving experience preferred. No less than two years
  • Current CDL - A and medical qualification per DOT requirements
  • Excellent MVR record and PSP record
  • Employment dependent on maintenance of acceptable driving record
  • Random drug and alcohol screens in accordance with DOT and Fellowes policies
  • Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance
  • Use of personal phone for DOT logs, tracking and company email
  • Monthly reimbursement applicable

The hiring range for this position in Itasca is $28.75. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
