About Us

Planes Moving amp; Storage is a third-generation, family-owned company that began with one truck in Cincinnati in 1921. Today, we provide local, national, and global moving and logistics solutions—always putting people first. Our mission is simple: we help customers move forward with confidence.

Our TEAM culture (Trust, Empowerment, Accountability amp; Mesh) is part of our DNA. It shapes how we work together, serve customers, and grow as a company.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Local Driver to join our Cincinnati team. This is a hands-on, driver/laborer role responsible for loading, delivering, and unloading shipments while providing exceptional service to our customers. You will report to the Local Dispatcher and operate safely and professionally at all times.

What You’ll Do
  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle and follow all company, state, and federal regulations.
  • Load, deliver, and unload shipments; lift up to 100 lbs. independently.
  • Report to work in full uniform and maintain a clean cab and cargo area.
  • Complete all required paperwork for each shipment and submit fuel receipts, labor receipts, and monthly expense reports.
  • Communicate daily with local and regional dispatchers regarding schedules, loads, and deliveries.
  • Report any damage, claims, or issues immediately.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and UniGroup Van Operator qualification status.
  • Attend required meetings, training programs, and maintain UniGroup University student ID for continued learning.
  • Assist with facility cleanup and equipment inventory control.
  • Support accuracy and quality standards, including maintaining a WTR score of 92% or higher.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

What We’re Looking For
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and maintain a clean MVR
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 6 months of professional driving experience
  • Previous box truck experience required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. and work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills

Work Environment
  • Exposure to sunlight, dust, dirt, exhaust, fuel fumes, and varying temperatures
  • Frequent bending, lifting, push/pull movements, and standing for extended periods
  • Schedule is typically Monday–Friday, with occasional nights/weekends based on operational needs

Pay amp; Benefits

We offer competitive hourly pay based on experience, plus a full benefits package:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability coverage
  • Accident and critical illness insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and holidays

Our Culture
