Job description

Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious and dependable Cart Delivery Driver to join our team in Bridgeton, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering, exchanging, and retrieving trash and recycling carts for our residential customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active, and providing excellent service in the community.

This position also offers a clear path for growth into a CDL Driver role for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the waste and recycling industry.

Pay: $20 - $22 per hour

Days: Monday - Friday with an occasional Saturday

Hours: Start time 5 am. Working 45-55 hour per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, replace, and retrieve waste and recycling carts along assigned routes
  • Safely operate a company vehicle in compliance with all local, state, and company safety regulations
  • Place carts neatly and accurately at customer locations
  • Load and unload carts as needed throughout the day
  • Interact professionally with customers and represent Waste Connections in a positive manner
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
  • Previous delivery or labor experience is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull carts weighing 75+ lbs on a regular basis
  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
