Day Shift from May - July, Night shift stating in August
$15.00/hr.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School Diploma
  2. Demonstrates the aptitude and interest in completion of assigned tasks
  3. Ability to read basic operation instructions and write reports
  4. Ability to meet and work with the public, staff and students
  5. Ability to operate mechanical equipment used for cleaning as required
  6. Ability to perform basic computerized tasks and to use online software programs
  7. FBI and BCI background check

REPORTS TO: Head Building Custodian and Director of Operations
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Sweep, dust and empty trash in assigned area daily. Mop all spots or areas that sweeping will not clean.
  2. Scrub and disinfect toilet areas, fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
  3. Clean walls, light switch areas, doors, etc. where high traffic patterns collect dirt once per week.
  4. Clean glass and windows inside as needed.
  5. Dust or wash furniture as needed.
  6. Report immediately any damage to school property
  7. Report all types of needed repairs and supplies, in writing, to the Head Custodian.
  8. Service and refill all dispensers as needed.
  9. Turn off lights, lock windows and all doors as required for security.
  10. Follow all shutdown procedures for energy conservation.
  11. Permit no unauthorized group or individuals in the building.
  12. Change light bulbs and clean fixtures as needed.
  13. Clean and remove all pen and pencil marks from any furniture, walls, floors or other physical areas daily.
  14. Report any condition that requires more than routine cleaning or maintenance to the Head Custodian.
  15. Perform summer maintenance and cleanup work with the scrubbing crew as required.
  16. Keep custodial rooms clean and orderly
  17. Property clean and store all equipment after use.
  18. Set up and tear down equipment and fixtures as needed for school activities; make sure building is ready for school the next day.
  19. Assist in the training of substitute custodians in proper procedures.
  20. Make wise use of time and materials.
  21. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol and drugs in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
  22. Perform other related duties as assigned.
