Location: Clackamas, OR
Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 / Hr. DOE
Shift: Varies & includes weekends| Start time: Early a.m. & late p.m.| Averaging 8-10 hr days & home daily
Equipment: 2024 Freightliner or newer, automatic, 53-foot trailers
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination and apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and deliver products or materials.
  • Maintain driver logs according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
  • Read the bill of ladings to determine the assignment.
  • Load or unload or assist in loading and unloading the truck, if needed.
  • Inventory and inspect goods.
  • Temperature-check, the product, wrap the goods using pads, packing paper, and containers and secure the load to the trailer wall using acceptable methods.

Qualifications Required:
  • 2 plus years of Class A driving experience.
  • 0 - 3 years of reefer experience.
  • 0 - 2 years of less than load (LTL) experience.
  • Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Card).
  • 21 years old to drive a commercial motor vehicle across state lines (interstate); to drive a commercial motor vehicle that contains hazardous materials.
  • Previous forklift experience and become newly recertified.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and organize.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary, both written and verbal, as you will be interacting with internal and external sources via phone and in person.
  • Computer experience required (spreadsheets & data entry).
  • Meet Kool Pak's minimum driver qualifications.
