The Town of Webster is looking for friendly, safety-minded candidates to serve as part-time School Traffic Guard for the September 2026 -June 2027 school year. In this role, you will help manage traffic to ensure that children can cross streets safely at intersections and crosswalks near public schools. This is a part-time position scheduled during morning and afternoon periods when students are arriving and leaving school.
Hours: 7:25 AM - 8:00 AM and 1:40 PM - 2:10 PM
Typical Duties: (Other related activities may be performed although not listed.)
  • Directs and routes vehicle traffic;
  • Conducts school children safely across street;
  • Reports any violations of traffic laws and regulations to local police;
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Webster residency
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience directing traffic
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be available for assigned shift, including early mornings and afternoons.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time outside, including during inclement weather.
Background Checking:
