Sales Manager

Lead a High-Performing Sales Team and Grow a Market-Leading Brand

Pella Windows & Doors is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to lead, coach, and develop a team of professional sales consultants serving builders, contractors, remodelers, and other trade professionals throughout the Portland market.

In this role, you will drive sales growth, expand market share, and develop strong customer relationships while coaching your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on developing talent, strengthening customer partnerships, and achieving business results.

The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader who enjoys mentoring others, building relationships, and creating winning sales strategies in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of Residential Sales Consultants and Trade Sales Consultants to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Spend more than 50% of your time in the field observing, training, and reinforcing effective selling behaviors.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing sales professionals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.

Drive Market Growth

  • Increase market share through strategic business development and relationship-building efforts.
  • Support sales consultants in identifying and converting new customer opportunities.
  • Strengthen partnerships with builders, remodelers, contractors, architects, and industry professionals.
  • Represent Pella at trade events, association meetings, builder shows, and networking opportunities.

Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences

  • Foster a culture focused on achieving outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Help sales consultants navigate customer challenges and resolve escalated concerns.
  • Ensure accurate quoting, ordering, and adherence to established sales processes.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Service, and Finance teams to ensure successful project execution.

Achieve Business Objectives

  • Drive revenue, profitability, and contribution margin goals.
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and business strategy initiatives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and communicate progress to leadership.
  • Coach team members on value-based selling, strategic pricing, and error reduction.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 3-5+ years of sales leadership, sales management, or related experience.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales professionals.
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, building products, windows and doors, home improvement, or related industries.
  • Experience working with builders, contractors, architects, or other trade professionals.

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.
