Asphalt Laborer/Operator:
  • 2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA - *Full-Time.

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company – is seeking a Asphalt Laborer to perform a wide range of duties depending that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with.
Responsibilities:
  • Rake/Shovel asphalt in construction area.
  • Assist in patching asphalt with hot/cold mix.
  • Maintain a clean job site: pick up tools and equipment and secure jobs site each day.
  • Material Handling and storage.
  • May operate a variety of hand and power tools.
  • May assist with craft workers.

Asphalt Laborer/Operator Skills:
Some skills necessary to perform all the different tasks associated with this job:
  • Equipment such as – bobcat, front end loader, paver, tractor and screed.
  • Detailed oriented and team spirit.
  • Measure work area accurately.

Qualifications:
  • Physical ability to stand long periods of time.
  • Physical ability to bend and crouch.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in work environment; frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time: Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
