Job Summary
Make a real difference in young athletes' lives as a Weekend Flag Football Official with i9 Sports! More than just calling flags, you'll be a mentor, coach, and role model, creating a fun and positive environment where kids can learn, grow, and love the game.
Regional DetailsOur programs rotate seasonally to use the best facilities in the area. This position covers our South Cluster, including:
  • Eastvale, Norco, Corona, Riverside, Chino Hills, and Jurupa Valley
  • Assignment locations vary by season. Reliable transportation to all cities in this cluster is required.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a fun, educational, and safe environment for all players by fully understanding and enforcing the i9 Sports rulebook.
  • Promote sportsmanship and fair play through teaching and demonstrating core concepts.
  • Set up and break down game/practice field equipment efficiently.
  • Manage time and scorekeeping during games, tailoring instruction and competition to age-appropriate levels.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive and encouraging attitude towards players and colleagues.
  • Provide superior customer service to participants and their families.
  • Assist volunteer coaches during practice sessions by leading drills and answering questions.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive coaching environment.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Effectively interact with players, coaches, and spectators, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Possess at least 2 years of experience as a player, coach, or official in the specific sport.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to solve problems that arise during shifts independently.
  • Prioritize player safety by taking decisive action and displaying proactive awareness of potential risks.
  • Maintain a cheerful and encouraging attitude while building strong relationships with players, coaches, and families.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and evenings, for the season duration (approximately 7 weeks).
  • Possess a smartphone with internet access.
  • Must successfully pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Payment for this position is based on a game rate structure This means that as an independent contractor, you will be paid weekly based only on the number of games you successfully work during that period. Your total weekly compensation will be the established rate multiplied by the number of games completed; it is not a fixed salary or an hourly wage for time spent outside of game duties. This structure directly ties your earnings to your active participation in scheduled games.
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
