Job description

CTG is seeking to fill a Motion Designer position for our client.

Location: Morrisville, NC
Duration: 12+ months, with possibility for extension

Duties:

  • Create dynamic visual content that transforms complex ideas, products, solutions, customer stories, and campaign narratives into engaging motion-based experiences.
  • Develop motion graphics, animations, video packages, product demonstrations, explainers, social media content, webcast assets, and digital storytelling experiences to support global marketing initiatives.
  • Produce motion assets independently while executing established creative concepts and brand guidelines.
  • Build reusable templates, animation frameworks, modular content systems, and standardized visual storytelling components to improve production efficiency.
  • Own production delivery for assigned projects, ensuring high-quality output and timely completion.
  • Collaborate with creative teams, marketing partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to bring concepts from ideation through final delivery.
  • Troubleshoot technical execution challenges and identify opportunities to improve workflows and content production processes.
  • Manage multiple projects and stakeholder requests simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency.

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in motion design, animation, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency with motion graphics and video production tools, including Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience creating animations, transitions, compositing, and visual effects for digital content.
  • Ability to develop scalable motion systems, templates, and reusable creative assets.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, composition, timing, and visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into compelling motion experiences.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience:

  • Experience working as a Motion Designer, Motion Graphics Designer, or similar creative role within a corporate, agency, or digital production environment.
  • Proven experience delivering motion graphics, animations, and video content across multiple platforms and audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience creating content optimized for digital channels, marketing campaigns, events, and social media.
  • Experience developing production workflows that improve speed, scalability, and consistency.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Animation, Digital Media, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
