Gentle Motion Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. We are a multicultural outpatient psychiatry office located in the vibrant community of Johnson City, Tennessee, offering remote work arrangements. In this role, you will be responsible for providing culturally sensitive mental health therapy to individuals from diverse backgrounds, contributing positively to their mental and emotional well-being.

The position is fully remote, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while connecting with patients in Johnson City and beyond. Our team structure is designed to promote effective collaboration among mental health professionals, psychiatrists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for all patients. Adhering to a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, you may occasionally need to adjust your schedule to meet the needs of your patients. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally-informed mental health assessments that take into account patients' unique histories and experiences.
• Develop tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that respect cultural and individual differences.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, helping patients address a variety of mental health concerns ranging from anxiety to depression.
• Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care, attending regular case conferences and team meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, offering immediate support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Engage in educational efforts, informing patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatments, and local resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential electronic health records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing modern EHR systems effectively.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities focused on improving cultural competence and therapeutic skills.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW is required to practice in Tennessee.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, paired with a strong commitment to cultural competence.
• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy in a manner that respects diversity and promotes inclusivity.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with calm and precision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients from various backgrounds effectively.
• Experience and proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient management.
• A commitment to adhering to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and professional boundaries.

• Previous work experience in a community health setting or multicultural practice is highly valued.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic interventions relevant to the diverse populations served.
• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions and leading community outreach initiatives.

Gentle Motion Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous salary, you'll enjoy an extensive benefits package that includes:
