Summary

The purpose of the Journeyman Millwright is to set and level skids, mount and align industrial machinery according to manufactures specifications. Install vessels and piping systems, and to further advance our continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. The individual will be a Journeyman who has an industrial background with a continual focus on safety, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position. 

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
  • Read micrometer and have experience with dial indicators.
  • Heat and install couplings hubs confidently.
  • Perform soft foot pull down checks on Compressor feet/Engine feet.
  • Install and align cooler sheaves and belts.
  • Perform flatness test on compressor frames using FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
  • Perform rod run outs, cross head clearance checks, check and adjust piston end clearance.
  • Install distance piece supports and perform proper lift according to manufactures specs.
  • Install and level compressor cylinders.
  • Read and understand compressor component balance sheets/lubricator blocks
Qualifications
  • Must have 1 - 5 years' experience in reading drawings mounting and setting reciprocating compressors and Engines/Motors performing coupling alignments using Opt-align and FIXTURLASER XA Pro.
  • Ability to read and understand ENERFLEX standards and Drawings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how gas compressors operate and function.
  • Expert knowledge of packaging Process and Gas Compression units
  • Ability to be self-motivated perform high quality work maintain a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
