Job description

Alphanumeric is hiring a Finance Manager - Level 2 to work onsite in Marietta, PA with our client of 20 years committed to improving lives through medical and pharmaceutical advancements.

Pay Range: $48 - $55/hour

Position Summary

Reporting to the Site Finance Head, the Finance Manager - Level 2 will support financial planning, reporting, compliance, and control activities for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role will serve as the primary finance business partner for Engineering, Planning, and Logistics teams, supporting operational decision-making, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting activities.

The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing finance experience, analytical capability, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support site financial processes, reporting activities, controls, and provide backup support to the Site Finance Head as needed.
  • Partner with Engineering, Planning, and Logistics teams on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost center management.
  • Support preparation of the Annual Operating Plan, including OPEX, recoveries, and standard product costing.
  • Review and oversee completion of month-end SAP toll processing activities executed by the SMAS Hub.
  • Prepare product costing and cost estimates for new products using standard toll manufacturing costing methodologies.
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger and support closure of assets under construction projects.
  • Provide financial support for site projects and capital investment initiatives.
  • Support reporting, issue resolution, and implementation activities with local, regional, and global finance teams.
  • Prepare and review intercompany transaction processing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform local review of financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and site requirements.
  • Support financial compliance, internal controls, and accurate transaction recording processes.
  • Assist with financial analysis and operational reporting for manufacturing activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA preferred, but not required.
  • Experience supporting finance activities within a manufacturing and/or operational environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, fixed assets, and/or general ledger accounting.
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Planning, Logistics, and Operations teams.
  • Working knowledge of internal controls and financial compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Pennsylvania Sales & Use Tax compliance.
  • Experience using SAP or another ERP system for financial reporting and transactions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting capital projects and assets under construction processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with site leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
