Job description

Our client is looking for a Finance Manager. This person will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This position manages month-end and quarter-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory and production costing, and revenue controls. The role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and executive teams to strengthen financial controls, support informed decision-making, and scale accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership, Close & Reporting
  • Lead and oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring timely and
    accurate financial reporting.
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Perform and maintain balance sheet reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
  • Analyze financial results and cost variances to support business decisions
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management
  • Support external audits, SOX compliance, and internal control reviews
  • Ensure adherence to ICFR and participate in control improvement initiatives

Inventory, Costing & Revenue Controls
  • Calculate and monitor product costing for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Manage inventory accounting in SAP, including reconciliations and adjustments
  • Reconcile physical inventory, production data, and system records
  • Perform monthly inventory and metal confirmations with third parties
  • Ensure revenue accuracy through reconciliation of sales orders, payments, and unearned revenue
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory, costing, and revenue processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production,
    inventory, or metals environment.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or similar professional designation preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, product costing, procurement reporting, and financial
    analysis required.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit processes preferred.
  • Strong ERP experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to operational and
    executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and build scalable financial processes.
