Job description

Job Opening: Leave Coordinator

Location: Folsom, CA (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite)
Pay Rate: $30–$35/hour (W2)
Schedule: Approximately 25 hours/week | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract

We are seeking a detail-oriented Leave Coordinator to support leave administration by accurately processing employee leave records in Workday. This role is ideal for someone with experience in HR operations, leave administration, and high-volume data entry who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive approved leave information and updates from the Third-Party Administrator (TPA).
  • Enter and maintain continuous and intermittent leave records in Workday Time Off & Leave modules.
  • Process leave transactions including:
    • FMLA
    • Medical Leave
    • Personal Leave
    • Parental Leave
    • Military Leave
    • State & Local Leave Programs
    • Company-Sponsored Leave Programs
  • Update leave start dates, return-to-work dates, leave extensions, closures, and intermittent leave hours.
  • Process leave corrections, adjustments, and system updates accurately and timely.
  • Maintain accurate employee leave records reflecting TPA-approved leave activity.
  • Enter required paid time off in accordance with company policy, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies.
  • Support audits by validating leave records against TPA documentation.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Leave Administration teams, and TPA to resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to internal leave-related inquiries and assist with process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in HR Operations, Leave Administration, or high-volume data entry.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Time Off & Leave modules.
  • Experience processing employee leave and absence transactions.
  • Strong data entry skills with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a Third-Party Leave Administrator (TPA).
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and employer-sponsored leave programs.
  • Experience supporting both continuous and intermittent leave administration.
