About the Role:

The CDL/Class B Driver - Moffett Truck Operator plays a crucial role in the construction industry by ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials to various job sites. This position requires operating a Moffett truck, which involves loading and unloading materials with precision and care. The driver will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Additionally, effective communication with team members and site supervisors is essential to coordinate deliveries and address any logistical challenges. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall success of the customers' construction projects by ensuring timely and accurate material delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class B or Class A driver's license.
  • Proven experience operating a Moffett truck or similar vehicle.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction/retail industry.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Hydrulic Delivery License
  • Knowledge of local construction sites and routes.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Class B and Moffett truck to transport materials to and from construction sites.
  • Load and unload materials using the Moffett forklift, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Secure the load properly to ensure materials reach the job site intact and in good condition
  • Report safety issues about each vehicle to the supervisor and maintain the vehicle inspection book· Maintain DOT log for deliveries over 100 miles
  • Ensure that the annual federal inspection of the vehicle is completed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle (interior/exterior)
  • Represent the company in a professional manner

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to continually lift up to 80 lbs of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
