Commercial Journeyman Electrician – Execute High-Level Commercial Electrical Systems & Installations

Job Overview

  • Company: DiSabatino Construction Company.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $30.00 – $40.00+ per hour (DOE) (With a strong drive and interest in advancing into leadership roles such as Crew Leader or Foreman).
  • $2,000 Sign on Bonus!
  • Location: Wilmington, DE (Projects typically within 45 minutes of the main office).
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: State of Delaware Journeyman Electrician License.

The Opportunity You will serve as a technical expert on-site, performing precision electrical installations for sophisticated commercial new constructions and complex remodels. This role offers a clear path toward leadership positions, such as Crew Leader or Foreman, for candidates who demonstrate high performance and initiative. You will work within a safety-first environment that respects your expertise and provides the resources necessary for professional growth.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Execute the installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using specialized hand and power tools.
  • Navigate complex blueprints and specifications to plan layouts that ensure full conformance to local codes.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems using multimeters and advanced testing devices to ensure operational continuity.
  • Lead field tasks including rough-ins, conduit bending, and high-end lighting finishes for commercial interiors.
  • Direct and mentor junior workers to ensure all installations meet DiSabatino’s rigorous quality and safety standards.

  • Fabricate custom electrical parts and components based on project specifications to solve unique site challenges.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Active State of Delaware Journeyman Electrician license (Mandatory).
  • Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience as an electrician.
  • Ability to meet "Medium Work" physical demands, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Proficient in climbing ladders and operating lifts in tight-space environments.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a commercial electrical setting (Highly Preferred over residential-only experience).
  • Valid NCCER Certification or equivalent trade credential.
  • Proven track record of adherence to strict safety policies and interpersonal relationship management.
