Job description

Lighthouse Construction is looking for a highly motivated full-time Field Project Superintendent. The Project Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. We do Construction Management and General Contracting throughout the state of Delaware. We work in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties. We primarily do commercial projects and a mix of New Construction and Renovation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Schedule all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on the jobsite

· Ensure the Completion of work within time allowed of all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors

· Coordination of work directed in the field, confirming work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications

· Ensuring Lighthouse Construction Inc.’s quality

· Facilitate conflicts or revisions to the plan by communication with the Project Manager for mutual resolution

· Establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction

· Supervise all subcontractors, site consultants, and vendors on a daily basis

· Ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed

· Ability to work overtime

Qualifications

· Minimum work experience of 3 years in the Construction Industry

· Valid driver’s license

· Ability to use various applications on smart phone, tablet or laptop

· Proficient in Microsoft Office or willingness to learn

· Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is generally loud
