What is a local bank?

A local bank is a financial institution that operates within a specific community, city, or region, providing a range of banking services such as savings and checking accounts, loans, and mortgages. Unlike large national or international banks, local banks focus on serving the needs of individuals and businesses in their immediate area. They often provide more personalized customer service and have a better understanding of the local economy. Local banks also tend to invest back into their communities, supporting local businesses and development. Choosing a local bank can offer customers a more community-oriented banking experience.
