Job description

Our US Open partnership is about to begin!


The Red Hook Lobster Pound is seeking amazing cooks & cashiers for our concession at the US Open in Queens. We are an acclaimed, busy, high volume, family owned New England Seafood Restaurant and are seeking new team members who are hungry to learn and seek to grow professionally. We have 15 years of experience in making lobster rolls and we will also be offering fries, salad and more.


The US Open is a 3-4 week partnership with us. We will be operating two concession stands and will need lots of hands on deck with open availability. Shifts could be mornings, afternoons and evenings.


Training starts the week of August 17th and service runs through September 13th. Full-time & part-time availability. Employees will have credentials and will be able to view matches in open courts and Armstrong Stadium when not working. This is a fun and unique experience. It is hard work but unique rewards.

All employees should possess the following:

  • Ability to work well with others
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to react and move quickly
  • Open Availability

Cooks should also have:

  • Fry experience
  • Prep experience
  • Assembly experience
  • Recipe adherence
  • Know and follow DOH guidelines
  • Experience in full service or quick service kitchen

We can train for all positions, however, cooking experience, cashier experience and hospitality experience are appreciated. While this is a temporary position, we prioritize empowering staff and keeping valued folks in our team whenever possible. Shortly after this partnership, we will need team members for our pop-up location in Bryant Park Winter Village.
