The Commercial Loan Processor II is responsible for supporting the loan origination process by managing and coordinating all aspects of commercial loan applications that include processing, funding, servicing, file maintenance, and performing quality assurance of commercial loans, assisting members with business loan related inquiries, communicating with vendors and representing the credit union in a professional manner. As member of the Commercial Credit Administration Team, this individual assists department supervisors, commercial lenders and underwriters in the execution of their job duties including coordinating commercial loan closings, and provides professional service and support to members, credit union personnel and retail staff. 

What you’ll do:

• Prepare commercial loan documents for purchases, renewals, modification and change in terms and complete quality assurance on pre-close packages.
• Actively participate in the commercial loan workflow system moving loan requests forward through the system.
• Assist with loan packaging, lien filings, and quality assurance within the Small Business Lending LOS portal.
• Coordinate loan closings with commercial lenders and title companies.
• Assist in collecting upfront loan fees from member borrowers.
• Fund and book loans via the data systems at closing.
• Disburse fees collected to appropriate vendors or institutions.
• Send wire transfers for loan payoffs and disbursements for closing.
• File all official documents with appropriate counties and states.
• Assemble, review, and store paper loan files according to defined procedures.
• Quote and process commercial payoff requests.
• Archive paid-off commercial loan documentation.
• Prepare and process mortgage releases.
• Prepare and process UCC continuations and terminations.
• Prepare and send out adverse action notices.
• Work with insurance companies to obtain appropriate documentation and liens prior to closings and during annual reviews.
• Understand core system sufficiently to answer phone calls and fulfill maintenance related requests.
• Communicate with members, commercial lending team and others, both verbally and in written form, to exchange pertinent information regarding member loans.
• Order appraisals, title work, floodplain and environmental reports. 
• Review title insurance commitments for outstanding liens and requirements to close.
• Produce and review recurring reports for exceptions and perform research and file maintenance if necessary.
• Create and file monthly reports to senior management on production and loan closings.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• High School Diploma
• Two to three years of previous related experience preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation and using LaserPro. 
• Strong understanding of business loan processing.
• Familiar with Abrigo Sageworks and Meridian Link. 
• Familiarity with accounting procedures, reconcilements, and accrual accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software and all department software applications.
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of SBA processing is helpful. 
• Attention to detail and well organized
• Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
