Position Overview:

The Loan Processor supports the loan origination process by coordinating communication among borrowers, real estate professionals, attorneys, and underwriting. The Loan Processor ensures accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient processing throughout the loan lifecycle. The Loan Processor plays a key role in supporting fair lending practices while delivering highquality service in a dynamic environment. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the mortgage lending industry while contributing to positive client outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with borrowers, real estate agents, attorneys, and underwriting to facilitate smooth communication throughout the loan process.
  • Maintain detailed records of all loan processing activities, including inbound and outbound correspondence, logs, and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and other compliance standards during all stages of loan origination and servicing.
  • Request and review borrower documentation when requested from underwriting.

Qualificationsand Skills:

  • Experience in loan origination or mortgage processing within the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing practices.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations to ensure fair lending practices are upheld.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including calculations related to loans, escrow accounts, and amortization schedules.
  • Excellent credit analysis skills with an understanding of credit reports and financial documentation review.
  • Excellent organizational skills with consistent effectiveness in handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled in operating standard office equipment including 10-key typing devices with high accuracy.
