Job description

We are looking for a Loan Officer Assistant with prior mortgage experience and a background in project management or industrial engineering. This is a hybrid position with days split between home and the office, so this position requires the candidate to be local to Atlanta, Ga.
Requirements
  • Provide administrative and operational support to licensed loan officers.
  • Create, track, and manage loan processes using Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Microsoft Excel, and pipeline reports by ensuring loan files are accurate, compliant, and move smoothly through the processing pipeline by updating the internal Loan Origination System (LOS) Encompass daily.
  • Preview, review, and submit initial loan disclosures and loan submission packages using accurately collected and labeled documentation.
  • Order services such as credit reports, title work, insurance verifications, employment verification (VOE), and appraisals.
  • Support small projects as delegated by licensed loan officers and management by utilizing project management tools to track deadlines, tasks, and status updates, whilst helping identify workflow inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
  • Serve as liaison between borrowers, realtors, title agents, insurance providers, and other third-party partners to ensure a timely closing.
  • Perform Spanish/English translations of key documents or borrower communication when necessary.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the Loan Officer or Operations leadership.

Qualifications
  • Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in Project Management, Industrial Engineering, and related fields
  • Prior experience in the mortgage industry is required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, DocuSign, Adobe PDF, and Excel.
  • Must have experience with Encompass and be familiar with mortgage regulatory standards such as the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TRID), and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).
