Front-End Loader Operator – Frac Sand Plant
Arepet Industries | Von Ormy, TX
Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off

Position Summary
Arepet Industries is seeking an experienced and dependable Front-End Loader Operator to join our dry sand plant/loadout operation in Von Ormy, TX.
The Front-End Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to support sand production and truck loadout operations. This position works closely with the Scale Operator, Foreman, maintenance personnel, and other plant employees to keep material moving safely and efficiently.
This is a Safety-Sensitive position in an active MSHA-regulated industrial environment. Candidates must be safety-focused, dependable, comfortable working around heavy equipment and truck traffic, and willing to assist with general plant and housekeeping duties as needed.
What You'll Do
  • Safely operate a front-end loader during daily sand production and loadout operations.
  • Load trucks with the correct type and amount of sand while coordinating with the Scale Operator.
  • Safely maneuver equipment around trucks, stockpiles, plant equipment, personnel, and other mobile equipment.
  • Perform required pre-operational and workplace inspections and promptly report equipment defects or unsafe conditions.
  • Perform routine loader care, including greasing, checking/maintaining fluids and filters, fueling, and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain stockpiles, hoppers, loading areas, roadways, and other assigned areas as needed.
  • Clear sand and material from designated areas at the end of production runs.
  • Assist the Foreman and maintenance personnel with plant maintenance, cleanup, and operational needs.
  • Perform housekeeping, including shoveling sand, sweeping, removing accumulated material and debris, and maintaining safe work areas.
  • Follow MSHA requirements, company safety policies, traffic procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and established safe work practices.
  • Wear and properly maintain all required PPE.
  • Participate in required safety meetings, MSHA training, and cross-training.
  • Perform other job-related duties necessary to support safe and efficient plant operations.
Qualifications
  • Previous front-end loader or comparable heavy-equipment operating experience required.
  • Industrial, mining, aggregate, frac sand, construction, or production experience strongly preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify potential equipment problems.
  • Ability to understand equipment controls, operating procedures, warning signals, and hand signals.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment around pedestrians, trucks, and other mobile equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently when necessary.
  • Strong safety awareness and good judgment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
Schedule
This position works 12-hour shifts on a rotating 4-days-on / 4-days-off schedule. The schedule may include weekends and holidays based on the rotation, and overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This is a physically active position in a dry sand processing and loadout facility. Employees must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, bending, climbing, walking on uneven surfaces, and safely entering and exiting heavy equipment.
Employees work around heavy equipment, moving trucks, conveyors, machinery, dust, sand, noise, vibration, and changing weather conditions. Work may be performed outdoors in extreme Texas heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
Required PPE may include a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, high-visibility clothing, hearing protection, gloves, and respiratory protection when required.
Safety-Sensitive Position
The Front-End Loader Operator position is designated as Safety Sensitive because the employee operates heavy mobile equipment and performs duties that directly affect the safety of coworkers, truck drivers, contractors, and others within the facility.
Employees must maintain situational awareness, follow all applicable company and MSHA safety requirements, and report to work capable of safely performing their assigned duties.
