Job description

NOW HIRING: LEAD COMMERCIAL DOOR & DOCK TECHNICIAN


Adams Door Sales & Dock Equipment is looking for an experienced Lead Technician to join our growing team.


We specialize in the service, repair, and new installation of commercial and residential door systems and loading dock equipment throughout the Phoenix Valley. We are looking for someone who already knows the industry, takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot in the field, and is capable of leading jobs from start to finish.


This is a lead technician position for someone with hands-on experience who can work independently and represent our company professionally with customers.


WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON


Our technicians service, repair, troubleshoot, and install:

  • Commercial rolling steel / roll-up doors
  • Sectional overhead doors
  • Residential garage doors
  • Commercial operators and garage door openers
  • High-lift and specialty door systems
  • Loading dock equipment
  • Edge-of-Dock Levelers (EODs)
  • Pit Levelers
  • Dock bumpers and related dock equipment
  • Commercial man doors
  • Door frames, hardware, closers, and related components
  • Springs, cables, drums, tracks, operators, and controls

Work will include a combination of service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and new installations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Commercial garage door / loading dock experience is required.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have previous hands-on experience with commercial overhead doors and/or loading dock equipment
  • Be able to diagnose and repair door and dock equipment without constant supervision
  • Be able to weld and perform field fabrication
  • Have strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Be comfortable working with power tools and commercial equipment
  • Be comfortable working from ladders and at heights
  • Be capable of leading installations and service jobs
  • Be able to communicate professionally with customers and other team members
  • Maintain a clean and organized company truck and work area
  • Complete job documentation accurately
  • Work safely and take pride in quality workmanship
  • Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Be dependable and show up ready to work

We are specifically looking for an experienced technician who can step into a lead role.
