Job description

Tasks PROFILE:

Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Receive deliveries in SAP system
  • Coordinate and deliver incoming packages to appropriate departments and recipients, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
  • Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.ย 
  • Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as handtruck, conveyor, or sorting bins.ย 
  • Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.ย 
  • Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.ย 
  • Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.ย 
  • Sort cargo before loading and unloading.ย 
  • Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber.ย 
  • Load and unload ship cargo, using winches and other hoisting devices.ย 
  • Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.ย 
  • Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates:ย  provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person.
  • Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Learn all manual tasks performed within the department.
  • Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department specific quality control processes and procedures.
  • Treat people with dignity and respect.
  • Conduct all business with integrity.
  • Adhere to Rust-Oleum Corporation Quality principles and participate in all departmental and company-wide Quality activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Additional Consideration Given to Those With:

  • Previous shipping/traffic and material handling experience.
  • Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience.

Work Schedule: 1st shift 8:00AM-4:30PM Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $22/hour
