Job description

Job Title: Yard Spotter / Dock Associate (Non-CDL) – Day Shift

Location: Rosemount, MN

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Pay:$22–$25 per hour (DOE)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Yard Spotter / Dock Associate for our day-shift operations in Rosemount, MN. This is a non-CDL position that supports yard and dock operations by spotting and guiding drivers in the yard, assisting on the dock, and learning to operate additional equipment. This position does not involve driving tractor-trailers, but prior experience working around and understanding tractor-trailer operations is required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Spot and guide tractor-trailer drivers safely within the yard
  • Communicate clearly with drivers to assist with backing, parking, and positioning trailers
  • Work on the dock loading and unloading freight as needed
  • Assist with yard organization and trailer placement
  • Learn and operate additional yard or warehouse equipment
  • Perform visual safety checks and report hazards or equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and dock area
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with or around tractor-trailers (yard, dock, or driving experience preferred)
  • CDL not required
  • Strong understanding of trailer movement, backing zones, and yard safety
  • Ability to communicate clearly with drivers using hand signals and verbal direction
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work early morning hours consistently
  • Strong safety awareness, reliability, and work ethic


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull as required for dock duties
  • Ability to climb on and off docks or equipment as needed
