Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer for a contract position in Austin, TX. The role involves creating and executing test plans for ETL processes and data warehouse validation, along with developing automated test scripts and ensuring quality through various testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
• Create, design, and execute the test plans and test cases which covers ETL Process and Data Warehouse validation
• Planning, Monitoring and Control of Testing Activities and Tasks
• Excellent in creating/analyzing simple to complex SQL for data validation
• Experience with developing automated test scripts using Python or any testing tools
• Good Understanding of various database technologies(DB2,Teradata,Oracle 10g/11g,SQL server, Big data/Hadoop, PostgreSQL)
• Experience in testing Cloud migration applications (MS Azure, AWS, Snowflake) based testing
• Good exposure in executing Proficient in a variety of interfaces including REST APIs, SQL, and web browser dev tools
• Experience in continuous testing practices in a CI/CD development pipeline, and deploying test automation
• Experience working with build & deployment tools eg: Octopus, TeamCity and GitLab etc.
• Apply Strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as black box, white box, Functional, Regression, Integration and E2E Testing
• Good exposure to agile testing process, test strategy planning and implementation, test execution and reporting
• Ability to work independently with little to no daily supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8+ years of strong experience in ETL Testing, BI Testing
• Create, design, and execute the test plans and test cases which covers ETL Process and Data Warehouse validation
• Knowledge on Database objects and relational data models
• Knowledge of Informatica and experience in ETL Testing
• Planning, Monitoring and Control of Testing Activities and Tasks
• Excellent in creating/analyzing simple to complex SQL for data validation
• Experience with developing automated test scripts using Python or any testing tools
• Good Understanding of various database technologies(DB2,Teradata,Oracle 10g/11g,SQL server, Big data/Hadoop, PostgreSQL)
