Operations Specialist – Hazel, MN

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Operations Specialist for a valued client in Hazel, MN. If you're looking for a hands-on role with a great team, this is an excellent opportunity to build your career while helping keep daily operations running efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor duties safely and efficiently under general supervision.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at the facility while following company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service.
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading and unloading, including sampling, opening hatches, loosening large nuts, and connecting or disconnecting flexible hoses.
  • Load and unload agricultural products from trucks and railcars using loaders, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Operate and monitor load-out functions and automated scale/dump systems.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication and equipment inspections.
  • Monitor inventory quality and maintain accurate records.
  • Keep the facility clean and organized through regular housekeeping, including sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping, and cleaning spills.
  • Perform warehouse duties, including forklift operation, loading and unloading inventory, and general facility maintenance.
  • Report customer concerns, equipment issues, maintenance needs, and safety hazards promptly.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support daily operations and provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Must meet the minimum age requirement.
  • At least 1 year of operations, warehouse, or business operations experience.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous agriculture or grain handling experience.
  • Experience operating loaders, conveyors, tractors, forklifts, or similar equipment.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons as needed.

Selected candidates may be required to successfully complete pre-employment screenings, which may include a drug screen, criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, physical requirements, and other screenings based on the position.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb railcars, ladders, stairs, and grain bins.
  • Ability to work in dusty environments and in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
