Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Counter Sales (HVAC) in South Austin. Directly generates revenue for the store by explaining products as well as the features and determining other needs depending on the product and purchasing trends. Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders.
As a Counter Sales (HVAC) you’ll be responsible for:
  • Possesses excellent product knowledge to inform, assist, quickly provide solutions and increase sales to a customer in person, via telephone or e-mail
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal customer service skills
  • Handles products safely and load them into the customer’s vehicle accordingly so that they can be easily transported between the branch and the customer’s destination
  • Restock, straighten, front-face, and dust merchandise shelves and displays in addition to other general housekeeping duties which may include sweeping, mopping, and cleaning
  • Data entry and retrieval on computer system, including entering of customer orders, branch transfers, obtain quotation information, inventory information, pricing
  • Effectively communicate to customers any relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc.
  • Actively listen to customers and air out grievances
  • Accurately perform cycle counts/inventory as required
  • Must be willing to learn how to operate a forklift training will be provided and certification
  • Support the branch by staying connected with existing customers to render proper after-sale service, obtain repurchases, inform them on new promotions, and cross-sell
What you’ll need:
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Pass and maintain organizational forklift certification. Do not need to know how to drive a forklift - training & certification will be provided.
  • Must be able to stand and walk during shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills and oral communication to accurately fill orders and receiving of materials, payment processing, etc. The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen and possess a valid driver’s license
