Expected salary range of $149,400 to $166,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating asset integrity, maintenance, inspection and testing activities to assure continued safe and compliant operation of the Terminal. Daily supervision, monitoring and coaching of maintenance personnel to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with company policies. Responsibilities include work planning, on-the-job training, arranging for maintenance work, inspections, and initiating requisitions for procurement of tools, materials, equipment and parts from vendors and services from contractors.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prepare and execute an effective and optimized predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance program utilizing planning and scheduling systems and techniques to minimize downtime and reactive work.
  • Responsible for the organization and direction of the maintenance department. Directs the planning, scheduling, and managing of all maintenance activities.
  • Lead, develop, and implement personnel development, performance management, and labor relations in accordance with the CBA as applicable. Administer company and Terminal policies/procedures.
  • Participate in Terminal strategic and business planning initiatives.
  • Responsible for supporting the development of and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient resources allocation, cost control and maintaining Terminal availability.
  • Ensure compliance and effective communications with all federal, state, and local regulatory regulations and industry standards, maintaining accurate records, preparing maintenance reports and maintain environmental stewardship.
  • Reviews and approves design and future maintenance for engineering and construction project proposals to achieve or exceed levels of production, improve maintenance troubleshooting, decrease production interruptions and improve maintenance productivity.
  • Ensures that maintenance planning, scheduling, long-term maintenance certification and inspection activities including condition monitoring are occurring as scheduled.
  • Drive continuous improvement of maintenance work practices in reducing maintenance backlog and focus on learning opportunities.
  • Engage and support Terminal compliance audits, incident investigations and review of working practices.

JOB SCOPE

  • Position reports to Senior Manager, Operations & Maintenance and is part of the Terminal leadership team.
  • Develop a highly, multi-skilled and motivated team through mentoring, coaching, training, and effective communication.
  • Manage direct reports with supervisory responsibilities for represented and/or non-represented employees.
  • Administration of the Company-Union labor Agreement (CBA) supporting maintenance productivity and maintain high levels of morale and motivation among maintenance personnel at all times.
  • Coordinate and lead planning meetings, interact with Terminal operations and engineering to ensure maintenance activities are executed in close collaboration, maintaining Terminal availability and reliable operations.
  • Direct activities and approve all actions to maintain and enhance the Terminal's equipment and facilities, incorporating engineering techniques to affect improvements in equipment reliability, availability and corrosion control.
  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet financial targets.
  • Ensures the Terminal's maintenance program for equipment is functional and compliant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in engineering with minimum 10 years professional experience OR
  • Associates Degree with 10 years&rsquo experience with 5 at the supervisory level OR
  • H.S. Diploma with 12 years&rsquo experience with 5 at the supervisory level
  • Minimum 8 years power plant (or related) experience
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/managerial experience
  • Ability to acquire applicable State License in required time period
  • Experience in one of the following: Engineering or Maintenance or Work Management
  • Experience as one of the following: Operator or Foreman or Shift Manager
  • Professional Certification or Recognition
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of LNG or Power plant operations.
  • Knowledge of State, Local and Federal environment regulations as they apply to LNG or Power plant operations.
  • High level knowledge of rotating and operating equipment, pumps, generators, compressors, tanks, vaporizers/heat exchangers, electrical switchgear, motor control centers, VFDs, actuated valves, transmitters, PLC and DCS systems.
  • Leadership capabilities, able to engage others in the required process and hold people accountable.
  • Posses the personality and ability to relate to and to establish a mutually respectful relationship with management, peers, direct reports and Terminal personnel, responsible for ensuring effective and safe operations.
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex situations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, able to meet established deadlines, able to manage multiple activities in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and collaborate in a cross functional environment.
  • Ability to be a participative leader that offers opinion and direction.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Master's Degree in engineering, business, or related field
