The program typically includes classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training, covering topics such as basic nursing skills, patient care, and safety procedures. After completing the program, students must pass a competency exam to earn their LNA certification. These programs are often required for those seeking entry-level positions in healthcare settings like nursing homes, hospitals, or assisted living facilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in an LNA training program, and why are they important?

To thrive in an LNA Training Program, you need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of healthcare concepts, and a strong interest in patient care. Training typically involves learning to use medical equipment, understanding infection control protocols, and gaining CPR certification. Compassion, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help students excel in both classroom and clinical environments. These competencies are crucial for providing safe, effective support to patients and healthcare teams upon program completion.

What do you need to become an LNA?

To become a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), you must complete a state-approved training program, which includes classroom instruction and supervised clinical practice.
