Job description

Bashor Children’s Home is looking for a Therapist to join our team! The position is full time non-exempt and requires flexibility. Some evenings and weekends required. Join our growing team of therapists to help us fulfill our mission of “Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow” to troubled children and their families.

Starting Pay: $26.44

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling or psychology.

  • Must have initial license (LSW, LMHCA) and be actively working to achieve clinical license (LCSW, LMCH).

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to make effective decisions and time management skills.

  • Must be a cooperative team player.

  • Must have an understanding of and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse population.

  • Must be flexible to accommodate needs of program and client, including evenings and weekends.

  • Exceptional understanding of evidence based practices.

  • Ability to be strengths based and trauma informed.

  • Experience working with youth and families with behavioral and/or mental health concerns.

  • Ability to balance direct services with other responsibilities of the job including but not limited to meetings and paperwork.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide unconditional care and service in a manner consistent with Bashor’s treatment philosophy, solution focused, evidence-based practice and family/client centered.

  • Complete case documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.

  • Provide individual, family and group therapy for community based clients.

  • Provide training on treatment issues/diagnoses.

  • Contribute to organizational/program development growth and quality improvement efforts agency wide.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor.
