Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your routine duties will encompass:

• Individual Counseling: Conduct one-on-one video sessions with clients to address their mental health needs and foster their emotional growth.
• Insight Development: Facilitate discussions that encourage clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and life experiences to gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
• Goal Setting: Act as a client advocate, helping them articulate their personal goals and navigate the path to achieving them.
• Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate clients' mental health conditions and develop customized treatment plans applying evidence-based, solution-focused methodologies that reflect your clinical expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will consist of stable adults with low-acuity mental health conditions who have been carefully screened prior to their first appointment. This ensures that you are matched with individuals whose needs align with your expertise and preferred demographic, allowing for effective and meaningful treatment without the complexities of high-risk cases.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Active and unrestricted state licensure as one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Proficiency in using technology for remote therapy sessions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred candidates will have prior experience in teletherapy and may possess specialty areas, such as trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, or relationship counseling.
