Vision for the Role:
The purpose of the Live Production Engineer is to promote the message of the Gospel through the distraction-free operation of all audio, visual, lighting, and staging elements of Hume Ministries. Additionally, this role is intended to further the goals and message of Hume Ministries by providing an atmosphere of worship, communication, and professionalism throughout all aspects of the live production environment and to provide insight and knowledge into maintaining, upgrading, and replacing all aspects of live production equipment and staging.ย

The Role:

  • Operate and manage audio, video, lighting, and staging equipment for Hume Ministries events.
  • Plan and execute technical production to create a creative, distraction-free, and spiritually impactful experience.
  • Communicate with Program and Camp staff to fulfill their production needs.
  • Complete seasonal installations and system builds for various camp themes and activities.
  • Repair, replace, maintain, and install live production equipment.
  • Set up outdoor and portable systems for events as needed.
  • Enhance and progress creative production levels.
  • Mentor and train student interns and part-time Summer Staff.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Evidence of strong Christian faith with a passion for sharing the gospel and meeting spiritual needs.
  • Must agree with our statement of belief and be willing to abide by our code of conduct.
  • A committed Christian passionate about sharing the Gospel and supporting camp ministries.
  • Strong experience and knowledge in audio mixing, lighting for theatrical and concert settings, and video systems.
  • Creative, strategic, and organizational skills with experience in live production.
  • Current with emerging technologies in live production and proficient in general office technology (Word, Excel).
  • Experience or knowledge in Christian Camping and ability to work effectively with leadership, program staff, and local churches.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects, with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Holds a college degree in Live Production/Theatre or has 5 years of equivalent live production experience.
  • Physical Requirements:ย able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, work in extreme weather conditions, and live at high altitude.
