JOB SUMMARY

Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! Have fun in the sun while pursuing an exciting career in the casino industry. Work with an awesome team while ensuring a good time for our guests. This is a full time, year around position with an excellent compensation package. This includes medical, paid sick time, paid vacation time, paid personal time, holiday pay and 401k options. If you possess the desire to work for a great company, then we would love to have you!  The pay for this position is $18 per hour. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
  • Performs public service cleaning duties in all areas as assigned.
  • Sweeps, mops and disposes of trash.
  • Responsible for cleaning all interior flooring surfaces, including but not limited to, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping and waxing.
  • Responsible for power washing exterior surfaces.
  • Set-up and removal of special event signage and area closure stations.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Previous experience in cleaning of large public areas facility preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/ or executes written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs without difficulty, repeatedly. 
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and kneel for extended periods of time without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules due to the needs of the business, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
