Educational Association Membership Recruiter

Part-time Independent Contractor 1099 Position

Position Summary:

Educators First is a non-union, non-partisan, and non-profit professional association for educators in Georgia. As a Membership Recruiter for Educators First, you will attend school visits, including faculty meetings, where you will speak about us and sell association memberships. Additionally, you will occasionally attend school board meetings, conferences, and a variety of other educational events. This is an ideal position for a retired educator or anyone else looking for part-time employment during the school year.

Compensation:

Recruiters typically work 15-30 hours per week during the school year and are off entirely during the summer and school breaks. Compensation is directly tied to production but should average at least $154 per school visit, paid monthly. This is a part-time independent contractor 1099 position with no benefits and approximately 190 workdays per year.

Requirements:

· Reliable transportation for territory travel

·Outgoing and confident personality with effective interpersonal communication skills

· Prompt and on time – to meetings, responding to email and calendar invites, submitting reports

· Professional image, exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Comfortable with standard office productivity tools, such as Email/Calendaring, word processing, and Spreadsheet applications. Must own or have access to a computer.

· Flexible schedule includes attending school visits early in the morning, mid-day, or after school faculty meetings

· Must live in or near your assigned territory

· Some college or post-high school education

Preferred, but not required:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher

· Experience with K-12 education

· Sales or teaching experience is preferred
