Job Description Senior Director of Operations About the Role We are seeking a Senior Director of Operations to lead and optimize multi-site manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and delivering strong performance across safety, quality, cost, and service. Key Responsibilities Multi-Site Leadership Oversee multiple manufacturing facilities and lead site leadership teams Establish goals, track KPIs, and drive performance accountability Lead operating budget development and financial performance Operational Excellence Drive business objectives across safety, quality, cost, customer service, and production efficiency Review and approve control plans, budgets, and major operational initiatives Implement continuous improvement strategies across processes and systems Performance & Accountability Maximize employee contributions through strong leadership and cultural alignment Ensure accurate, timely reporting across all aspects of plant operations Drive ownership and accountability at all levels of the organization Strategic Leadership Define and execute short- and long-term operational strategies Develop roadmaps to support growth, scalability, and operational success Partner cross-functionally to align operations with broader business goals People Leadership Build, develop, and coach high-performing teams Foster a positive, safety-driven, and team-oriented culture Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus 12+ years of progressive experience in operations, engineering, or supply chain 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing operations (food industry preferred) Proven track record in production, engineering, purchasing, or production control Preferred Skills Experience in both union and non-union environments Strong leadership and team development capabilities Analytical and data-driven decision-making skills Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills Results-oriented with the ability to balance competing priorities Passion for safety and operational excellence Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape operations strategy, drive performance, and lead large-scale manufacturing teams.
