POSITION OVERVIEW

The Cafe worker is responsible for providing customers with an enjoyable memorable experience. They take orders, prepare food and drinks, and serve items.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise.
  • Prepares food according to item specifications; understanding and planning the future productions and mass productions; preparing for seasonality; adhering to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment; and demonstrating an understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the resort experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick up orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
  • Drives the performance of the area; stocking and rotating merchandise; ensuring quality and date control standards; eliminating waste; providing member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member's needs.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions; payment types; locating merchandise; and resolving member issues and concerns.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum or at least 6 months’ experience in a similar capacity working knowledge of culinary terms and preparations.
  • Ability to work food preparation.
  • Follow all recipes & plating specifications as directed.
  • Flexible/varied schedule availability to meet the needs of the business
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards in accordance with State Health Standards for Food Service Employees.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all personnel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is an extremely physically active position. Employees are regularly required to stand and walk. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds. Responsible use of knives and other tools with sharp edges.
