Live In Rv Resort information

How to work while living in a RV?

A live-in RV resort worker can find employment through online job boards, resort management, or local businesses. It is important to have reliable internet access, basic maintenance skills, and flexibility in scheduling to balance work and RV living effectively.

What do people who live in RVs do for work?

People who live in RVs often work remotely in fields such as writing, graphic design, programming, or customer service, which allow for flexible locations. Others find seasonal or temporary jobs like campground staff, maintenance, or hospitality roles at RV parks and resorts. Many also pursue gig work or freelance opportunities to support their lifestyle while traveling.

What is the difference between Live In Rv Resort vs Campground Host?

AspectLive In Rv ResortCampground Host

The main differences are the work environment and the level of service provided.

What is the 444 rule for RVs?

The 444 rule for RVs is a guideline suggesting that RV owners should check their tires every 4 hours of driving, every 4 days, and perform a full maintenance check every 4 months. For live-in RV resort jobs, understanding safety and maintenance standards like this is important to ensure proper vehicle upkeep and compliance with resort policies.

What jobs are good for RV living?

Jobs suitable for RV living include remote positions such as customer service, writing, graphic design, and virtual assistance, which often require only a computer and internet connection. Additionally, seasonal or gig work like campground hosting, delivery driving, or freelance work can provide flexible schedules and mobility for RV travelers.

Job description

THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2026 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER)

**THIS POSITION IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR H2B APPLICANTS**

Support the Operations That Keep Mission Point Resort Running Smoothly
At Mission Point Resortโ€”Mackinac Islandโ€™s only full-service, casually elegant resortโ€”our Receiving Team ensures that every department has the supplies and equipment necessary to deliver exceptional hospitality. We are seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to assist with daily deliveries, inventory management, and distribution throughout the resort.

About the Role

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments; organizing storage areas; and delivering goods to the appropriate resort departments. This role includes maintaining accurate records, communicating with vendors or department managers, and ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently.

Youโ€™ll thrive in this role if you enjoy hands-on work, staying organized, and contributing to smooth behind-the-scenes operations in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics preferred
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., move carts or pallets, and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Professional Traits: Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with multiple departments
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of safe lifting practices and proper storage procedures
  • Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season

What We Offer

We value the team members who keep our operations well-stocked and running seamlessly. Benefits include:

  • Competitive pay
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match, including eligibility under SECURE Act 2.0 provisions
  • Housing and meals
  • Employee perks and discounts

Why Mission Point?

Mission Point Resort is more than a workplaceโ€”itโ€™s a community built on teamwork, respect, and hospitality. Youโ€™ll experience the unique island lifestyle, collaborate with colleagues from around the world, and take pride in supporting the essential operations that keep our resort functioning at its best.

Be organized. Be dependable.
Apply today and join the Mission Point Resort receiving team.
