About the Position
Clara’s Caring Home LLC is a small, family-style residential care home providing compassionate, high-quality care to elderly residents. Care is overseen by a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), ensuring residents receive safe, consistent, and dignified care in a calm home environment.
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Live-In Caregiver who is comfortable living on-site and becoming a consistent presence for our residents. This role requires professionalism, dependability, and a genuine heart for caregiving.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Provide overnight supervision and support
Assist with repositioning, transfers, and comfort for bed-bound residents
Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding as needed
Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to resident care
Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the supervising LVN
Maintain a clean, calm, and respectful home environment
Follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous caregiving experience in a private home, assisted living, or similar setting
Compassionate, patient, and respectful bedside manner
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
High level of dependability and accountability
Ability to work independently while respecting supervision and house policies
Comfortable living on-site and maintaining professional boundaries
Ability to lift, turn, and assist residents safely
Willingness to complete background check and CPR/First Aid certification
Preferred Skills
CNA certification or formal caregiving training
Experience caring for bed-bound or limited-mobility residents
Familiarity with dementia or cognitive decline
Experience in residential care homes or assisted living facilities
Basic documentation or charting experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the shift
Ability to respond promptly to resident needs, including overnight
Manual dexterity for personal care tasks
