Description

The Residential Program Manager II will oversee residential group homes, supervise and develop staff, monitor Individual Service Plans (ISPs), collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams, and ensure the health, safety, and quality of life of the individuals we support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee assigned residential group homes to ensure quality services and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, training, and performance feedback to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other residential staff.
  • Ensure individuals' needs, goals, and services are implemented according to their Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Serve as a Developmental Disability Professional (DDP) and provide oversight of waiver services.
  • Review functional assessments, including the Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST), Supports Intensity Scale (SIS), Functional Behavioral Evaluations, and other required assessments.
  • Conduct pre-ISP planning and review T-Logs, Learning Logs, Goal Tracking, and other service documentation.
  • Participate in and facilitate ISP, SIS, IDT, Resident Council, and other meetings related to individuals served.
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of Behavior Support Plans, Crisis Plans, and other high-intensity services when applicable.
  • Review and approve documentation completed by residential staff and ensure corrections are completed within required timeframes.
  • Collaborate closely with Nursing to monitor medications, prescriptions, self-administration procedures, medical directives, and required documentation.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained in documentation standards and the use of Therap electronic recordkeeping systems.
  • Maintain open communication with individuals served employees, families, support coordinators, healthcare providers, state representatives, and management.
  • Prepare and monitor reports, incident documentation, shift logs, record reviews, and quarterly summaries.
  • Monitor staffing and scheduling to maintain service standards while minimizing unnecessary overtime.
  • Ensure approved menus, medical directives, medication schedules, household supplies, and other residential requirements are properly maintained.
  • Coordinate transportation for medical appointments, meetings, and other activities as needed.
  • Monitor household expenditures and purchases for assigned residential homes.
  • Demonstrate and reinforce Safety Care and de-escalation techniques.
  • Provide direct care support when needed to ensure continuity and quality of services.
  • Participate as an active member of the Residential Services and Hi-Hope management teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Must meet qualifications to serve as a Developmental Disability Professional (DDP) according to the Georgia DBHDD Provider Manual for Community Developmental Disability Providers.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably within a residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid Waiver services, ISP implementation, documentation requirements, staff training, and residential service delivery.
  • Knowledge of Georgia DBHDD, DCH, HFR, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations and quality standards is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with health and safety risk management, behavioral supports, and quality improvement processes.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record with no more than two moving violations within a three-year period during the previous five years.
  • Maintain required vehicle liability insurance.
  • Successfully complete required criminal background checks.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment physical, drug screening, and TB screening/X-ray requirements.
  • Obtain or maintain required CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Complete Transportation and Vehicle Emergency Evacuation and De-escalation Techniques training within 90 days of employment.
  • Be able to meet the physical requirements associated with supporting individuals in a residential environment.
