Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in providing essential therapeutic services to children and families across Texas. Work Environment

This role will be remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while primarily focusing on in-home therapy sessions or engagements in our outpatient center. You will have the autonomy to manage your caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s progress. Weekly meetings with colleagues will provide continuous professional insight and team support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting individual and group therapy sessions in-home, or within our outpatient setting.
  • Implementing evidence-based practices to address behavioral challenges, including anxiety, aggression, and social interaction issues.
  • Facilitating the development of anger management and positive coping strategies in your clients.
  • Collaborating effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team as well as other professionals, ensuring a coordinated support strategy for the child and family.
  • Documenting all required assessments and therapeutic interventions in compliance with regulatory timelines, including initial intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participating in monthly interdisciplinary meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and provide recommendations for further treatment or interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on providing therapeutic services to a diverse population of children and adolescents ranging from ages 3 to 20, many of whom face unique challenges due to developmental disabilities and intellectual difficulties. Serving these families requires a high level of empathy, understanding, and cultural competency, particularly for candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, as this will enhance communication and therapy effectiveness.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related mental health field and possess an active and unrestricted LMFT license in Texas. A commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and a desire to provide exceptional client care are essential.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in positive behavior support, particularly with children ages 3-20 who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), will be given preference. Additionally, availability during after-school hours (4-7 PM), as well as weekend flexibility, will be advantageous for meeting client needs.
