Job description

Position Overview

Alvita Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for licensed professionals to provide mental health services tailored to the needs of individuals and families facing various challenges. The ideal candidate will bring compassion, expertise, and a proven track record in counseling to foster personal growth and emotional healing.

About the Organization

At Alvita Counseling Center, we pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering high-quality mental health services accessible to those in need. Our team of caring specialists is devoted to understanding the unique experiences of our clients and providing effective solutions that empower them to achieve their goals. We recognize the barriers many individuals face in accessing mental health care, and we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for our clients.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing our counselors to maintain a healthy work-life balance while effectively engaging with clients. Although you will be working from home, collaboration is encouraged through scheduled team meetings and regular activity updates. As this position operates in an outpatient setting, you will be part of a team that engages in client-focused strategies and multidisciplinary approaches to therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized therapy strategies for clients, catering to their unique emotional and behavioral concerns.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to establish treatment plans that align with each clientโ€™s specific needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Deliver group, family, couple, and individual therapy sessions in a remote setting while maintaining engagement and rapport.
  • Keep accurate and current clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and workshops to stay updated on the latest mental health research and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and face a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship issues. The LPC will play a crucial role in addressing these problems and providing support to those with limited access to mental health resources. Your efforts will be essential in improving overall patient outcomes, facilitating personal development, and fostering hope in individuals seeking help.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, with a preference for clinical practice.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with diverse client populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully within a healthcare team to optimize client care.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technologies for documentation and client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use counseling, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
  • Experience in remote counseling or telehealth practices is an advantage, given the online nature of the work.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, based on your experience and caseload.
  • Access to comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage provided by the organization.
  • Opportunities for client referrals and a supportive system for billing and documentation to streamline your workload.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Alvita Counseling Center, we believe in investing in our team membersโ€™ professional growth. We encourage ongoing education and training, allowing you to develop your skills and knowledge continuously. As part of a supportive and collaborative environment, counselors are empowered to participate in leadership opportunities and advance their careers within the organization.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Alvita Counseling Center means becoming part of an inclusive community dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, contribute to meaningful outcomes, and collaborate with a passionate team of mental health professionals.
