Job description

OVERNIGHT PET CARE & FACILITY STAFF
Pet care never sleeps - and neither do we.
At Dude Ranch Pet Resort, our team cares for dogs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Overnight staff play an incredibly important role in what we do. While the daytime hours may get most of the attention, it is the overnight team that helps ensure our facility is clean, calm, organized, and fully prepared for another busy day of happy dogs and satisfied clients.
We are currently hiring dependable overnight team members for shifts approximately 10:45 PM - 7:00 AM.
This is a hands-on overnight position that combines facility cleaning with pet care responsibilities. Overnight staff help with laundry, dishwashing, floor cleaning, trash removal, sanitizing common areas, and walking dogs as needed throughout the night. Yes - sometimes that also means cleaning up pet accidents. Working with animals is rewarding, but it also requires people who are comfortable handling the less glamorous parts of the job with maturity and a positive attitude.
Some overnight shifts may involve working independently, so we are looking for people who are self-motivated, dependable, observant, and able to stay productive without constant supervision. This position is often a great fit for someone who enjoys staying busy, appreciates a quieter work environment, and takes pride in behind-the-scenes work that truly matters.
We care deeply about creating a positive and professional work culture. We believe pet care is a team effort, and we work hard to build an environment where employees support one another, communicate well, and take pride in the quality of care we provide. Reliability, kindness, accountability, and respect for both coworkers and clients are extremely important to us. We are not simply looking for "someone to fill a shift." We are looking for people who want to be part of a strong team and contribute to a workplace that genuinely values animal care and professionalism.
Previous professional pet care experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person. Many of our strongest employees started with little or no industry experience and developed into highly skilled team members through training, mentorship, and hands-on learning.
We also believe in investing in employees who want to grow. Team members may have opportunities for online education, paid training programs, and nationally recognized certification courses within the pet care industry. For dependable employees who show initiative and leadership, additional responsibilities and long-term growth opportunities may become available over time.
Applicants must be available every Monday and Tuesday, along with major holidays as needed. Additional days are flexible, and both part-time and full-time opportunities may be available for the right candidates.
We offer a variety of benefits designed to support both our staff and their dogs. Depending on position and status, benefits may include bringing your dog to work, daycare and lodging benefits, paid time off, employee discounts, professional development opportunities, and a supportive team environment that values hard work and consistency.
We are hiring immediately and move quickly through the interview process. Online interview scheduling is available, and qualified applicants may be able to begin working within just a few days.
If you love dogs, work hard, and want to be part of a team that takes pride in providing exceptional pet care around the clock, we would love to hear from you.
Alcohol and drug misuse poses a threat to the health and safety of The Dude Ranch Pet Resort (r) employees and our guests; as well as to the security of the company's equipment and facilities. For these reasons, we are committed to the elimination of drug and alcohol use and misuse in the workplace. Random drug screenings are enforced. Failure to submit to such screening, the falsification of a screen, or a positive finding on a test will remove me from consideration for employment.
