This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow ChristThe Retail Clerk I serves guests in Café Sky and/ or Corner Store. This position supports the ministries of Sky Ranch by providing an excellent experience for guests purchasing items through our retail store and if applicable, food vending outlets. This person helps us exceed guest expectations through excellent customer service and a quality environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve guests in Café Sky and/ or Corner Store, including but not limited to:
  • Fulfill orders.
  • Handle payment.
  • Cook food items ordered.
  • Handle inventory (stocking shelves, pricing items)
  • Keep area safe, clean and orderly
  • Handle opening and closing duties for shift as assigned.
  • Assist in the maintenance of inventory.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch's employee policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
  • Some High School Education Required

EXPERIENCE
  • None required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Food handler's license if duties entail working in a food outlet. (We will provide training and ability to retain upon hire)
KNOWLEDGE
  • Demonstrate effective customer service skills and handle service recovery moments to exceed guest expectations.
  • Basic business math, being able to accurately calculate simple percentages, addition, and subtraction.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical effort required on a routine basis; ability to use up to 20 pounds of force frequently for moving and carrying objects. Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination. Requires physical agility, including but not limited to: bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; crawling under desks; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladder.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works indoors in normal office environment majority of the time. Limited exposure to physical risk while performing job duties, including but not limited to high temperatures for cooking; handling hot food items; working in food preparation areas.
