- Achieve the production plan as defined in the annual budget
- Maintains inventory accuracy and performs cycle counts as defined in the branch's annual objectives
- 100% compliance with Hydroflo's safety requirements
- No assembly related customer complaints
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Verifies that all parts are correct and available to assemble current job.
- Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
- Uses proper lift methods for using electric hoist.
- Assembles assigned product parts in accordance with work orders, Bill of Materials, blueprints and engineering drawings, following production standards and guidelines.
- Uses hydraulic press, air drills, hand wrenches, tape measures and calipers during assembly.
- Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards. Verifies measurements for accuracy and reports any problems or discrepancies to management.
- Signs quality control inspection sheet for each completed job.
- Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
- Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. Safety shoes are mandatory.
- Maintains neat and orderly work areas at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to achieve forklift driving certification
- 2+ years of mechanical experience
- Must be able to read and understand detailed work orders and translate that information into the pump assembly process, including basic math and measurement conversions
- Able to work with hands using small hand tools, lifts, etc., for pump assembly process
- Ability to manage multiple projects where priority changes based on customer demand is frequent
- Capability of communicating easily with supervisor and peers in a team environment
- Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and up to 150 pounds with assistance
- No travel required
Work Environment
