Salary: $2400 per month

Position Overview:Chaparral Ranch is seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Horse Stall Cleaner. This crucial role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our horse stalls, ensuring the well-being of our equine residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stall Cleaning:
    • Thoroughly clean and sanitize horse stalls on a daily basis.
    • Remove soiled bedding and replace with fresh, ensuring a clean and comfortable living space for the horses.
  • Waste Management:
    • Properly dispose of manure and soiled bedding in designated areas.
    • Ensure waste removal complies with ranch regulations and environmental standards.
  • Barn Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks within the barn, such as sweeping, organizing, and maintaining a tidy and orderly workspace.
    • Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed promptly to the supervisor.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other ranch staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
    • Communicate effectively with the barn manager and other team members to address any concerns or issues related to stall cleanliness.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
    • Use protective gear as required and maintain a high level of cleanliness in personal work areas
  • Weight-lifting requirements:
    • At minimum to be able to lift 30-40lbs
  • Feeding:
    • Ability to feed livestock twice a day (morning and night)

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in stall cleaning or related stable duties preferred.
  • Comfortable working around horses and familiar with equine behavior.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve lifting and repetitive motion.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to and from Chaparral Ranch.

Working Conditions:This role involves physical work in an outdoor environment, sometimes in varying weather conditions. The Horse Stall Cleaner may be required to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.

* Housing is provided solely as a condition of employment

* Employee must maintain living quarters in clean and orderly condition

* No unauthorized occupants are permitted without Employer approval

* Housing privileges terminate immediately upon end of employment


Special Note: There will be a 2-week probational period once incumbent is hired
